How to Solve Scrapbooking Horrors

Scrapbooking is a great crafting activity. It develops your creative skills and relaxes you while still being productive. If you do not watch it, scrapbooking can also be frustrating especially to a first time scrapbooked who has not mastered the techniques yet. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing horrifying about the process of scrapbooking. It's what comes after or before that can very frustrating. Here are some of the most common problems that scrap bookers encounter. Read on and learn from the tips on how to solve them or prevent them from happening to you.

1. Glue gun droplets, cutting marks

Seeing those cutting marks and glue gun marks on your side table, dining table or center table can be very frustrating. You cannot just wipe them off like paint. The most that you can do is to put a table cloth or linen over the area.

Prevent this from happening by using a cutting board and a tray. This is the number one rule when you are doing a craft project. Cutting boards are not only great in cushioning your desk from all the cuts and glue gun droplets, it serves as a tray that holds all your excess paper and beads. You can use a kitchen tray to keep all those materials in check and protect your skin when working on your lap.

2. Missing stuff

One of the horrors of scrapbooking is to look for all the stuff that you've bought in the past and not find them at all. This is not only a waste of your time but of your money. That's why you need to keep all your stuff inside one bag. That way, you will have access to all your stuff when you need it and you know that everything that you bought goes there, nowhere else.

Although there are craft bags in craft stores, you don't have to buy one if you have an old bag sitting in your closet. Recycle that bag. Even an old luggage will do. Using bags is ideal to people who have no craft rooms. They can just carry their materials in one area in the house and then, store them back in the closet.

3. Clutter

One way you can minimize the clutter and to limit it in one area of the house is to designate one part of the house as your craft corner. If you need to clean, at least it's just one part of the house.
