Ways to Organize your Scrapbooking Clutter

Doing crafts can clutter your house. This is especially true for people who are into scrapbooking. It is hard to organize all those little materials that you use to accent your pages. Among the kinds of crafts out there, scrapbooking is perhaps the one that requires a lot of small materials and the most gadgets and tools.

There are the heating tools, the glue gun and the embossing gadgets that you use for the paper. Of course, there are also the different kinds of ribbons, buttons, glitter pens and paper mache pieces that you use to make those gorgeous scrapbook pages. There are just too many things that you need and if you do not have the space or your own room that you can call your craft room, organizing them can be a nightmare.
Here are some tips on how to organize your scrapbooking materials:

1. Designate an area in the house as your craft area

If you have one area for everything that you need, it will be easier for you to declutter it after your craft projects. This way, you know where everything should go and where everything is placed should you need to get them. Designating a place trains your mind to limit your clutter to that space. The smaller the space that you have to clean after your craft project, the better.

2. Box with holes

Organizing ribbons can be really tricky because they have the tendency to unroll and they a lot of space if you organize them. One of the ways to organize them is to get a big enough box to hold all of them and then put holes in the box. Then, just place the ribbon inside and pull through each kind of ribbon through the holes. This way, you have a visual of what your ribbons look like without having to unroll them and get them out.

3. Put them in one area or bag

Having a room of your own for your scrapbooking projects is still the ideal way to do it. But if you do not have a room or a cabinet where you can keep your scrapbooking stuff, designate an area in the house as your craft corner and just keep all your scrapbooking stuff and gadgets in one bag that you can carry with you. You can even get an old luggage and keep all your stuff there.
