The second type of design used in an embroidery machine is a digital design. In this type, preset designs are programmed in your software or computer and uploaded to the machine. These designs are then stitched on the fabric. In using this method, you can create different designs such as photos, cartoon characters, monograms, landscapes and other designs that are available.

In order to use a design in a digital type, the design should be digitized or uploaded first. The artwork, design, patter or almost any image should be converted to a file format that can be read by the machine such as vector or jpeg file format.
