However, as much as possible try to stay away from thrift shops located near or inside the metropolitan areas. This is because these places are regularly visited and the prices there are much higher than thrift stores on the outskirts of the city. For example, if you live in New York City, you may want to go thrift shopping in Queens or Brooklyn. Stay away from the Manhattan area as the thrift stores there have clothing with expensive price tags.
